The Work Pass (WP) is a work permit established by the Ministry of Manpower in Singapore, primarily targeting foreign workers engaged in low-skilled and low-level jobs. These permits are applicable for temporary work in industries such as construction, cleaning, and food services. Employers are required to submit an application to the Ministry of Manpower, meeting specific requirements such as salary standards and working conditions. The validity period of the WP depends on the employment contract, ranging from a few months to several years. Employers are responsible for ensuring that their hired foreign workers comply with labor regulations and provide necessary working conditions and benefits.
