Employment Pass (EP) is a Singapore work visa issued by the Ministry of Manpower to foreign professionals, managers, as well as owners or directors of Singapore companies. This work visa allows you to live and work in Singapore, eliminating the need for an additional entry visa when traveling to the country. The Employment Pass typically has a validity period of 1-2 years, and it can be renewed thereafter. Holding an EP also qualifies you to apply for permanent residency (PR) in Singapore in the future.
Starting from September 1, 2023, the Ministry of Manpower will implement the Compass Points and Assessment Framework for new EP (Employment Pass) visa applications. For the renewal of EP visas, the new framework will come into effect from September 1, 2024.
